§ 21-1. Violations.

For violation of this chapter the engineer and the conductor shall upon conviction be fined for each offense within the limits provided in section 1-8, and the railroad shall be subject to a fine in addition to the operator of its trains for like amounts, to be collected by the issuance of execution and levy thereof against such railroad and any of its properties.
