§ 28-32. Action on preliminary plat.

  • The planning commission shall review the preliminary plat of a subdivision for conformance to the rules and regulations of this chapter, and the requirements of the zoning ordinance, and shall take into consideration the general requirements of the community and the best use of the land to be subdivided. The preliminary plat may be approved, disapproved or approved subject to modifications. The commission may indicate the specific changes required, and the amount of public improvements or the amount of the performance bond therefor which it will require as a prerequisite to the approval of the final plat.
