§ 30-52. Appeal from denial.

  • Any person applying for a taxicab permit which is denied by the police chief for any cause, may appear before the mayor and council at their next meeting following the denial of said permit or at such time as the mayor and council shall designate, and request that said mayor and council review the application for permit and the reason for refusal. Said mayor and council shall review the application as requested, and, in their discretion, may overrule the police chief and order the permit issued on behalf of the mayor and council.
