§ 31-17. Ownership of water meters and service lines.

(a)

The City of Winder retains all ownership of water meters connected to the city's water system.

(b)

No applicant named on the utility bill or person associated with the property connected to the water distribution system shall sell, transfer or assign water rights to the City of Winder's system unless authorized in writing by the City of Winder.

(c)

Only city employees or those directly authorized by the city may work on water meters, water lines maintained by the city and/or tap into city water lines.
