§ 30-50. Same—Investigation; approval.

Upon the filing of an application for a taxicab permit with the city clerk or his/her designee, the mayor and council shall refer the same to the police chief to investigate the applicant. The police chief shall make its report to the mayor and council at its next regular meeting and the mayor and council shall either approve or deny the application. If the application is approved, the city clerk or his/her designee shall issue the permit.
